Run # 520, 7th December 2025 – Christmas Party

November 10, 2025 by hashadmin Leave a Comment

The event of the year is almost upon us – it’s this Sunday!!!

Have you booked? If not, we’ve passed the cut-off date, but may have some cancellations, so you can still contact us (whatsapp to 012 305 7004) to ask.

If you’ve registered, then please remember:

  • Get up early on Sunday morning!
  • Pack your usual hash stuff, plus some festive accessories
  • Don’t forget wrapped presents for your kids!!!
  • Get to the run-site by 11:30 (or 9:30 if you’re helping!). Drive in and park neatly
  • Be prepared for fun and good food!

If you’re registered but need to cancel, e.g. if your family comes down with smallpox or ebola, please let us know in case there are late-comers who can buy your registrations.

Christmas Run and Party

This is our only run where everyone must pre-register – if you just turn up on the day (or if a long-lost cousin arrives unannounced), then we will try to be friendly and welcoming (as always), and will still take your fees :-), but it is quite possible that we will not be able to feed you.
It is also our only annual run where all adults attending (apart from Santa) must pay guest fees (which include a meal).

Member kids still need to register, and all others need to register and $pay$, in advance, using this form.

For fully-paid-up members (kids), the event is free (apart from drinks!).
Guests (non-members, including lapsed members who have not paid their full 2025 subs yet) are very welcome, as always – in fact, we always expect many more guests at Christmas than on a normal run (I can’t work out why 🤔).

For everyone, the cost includes the run, full Christmas meal and entertainment, and all registered kids get a freebie or goodie bag.

We are currently finalising the menu with the caterer, and will give details soon, but it will certainly be tasty and filling for hungry hashers of all shapes and sizes.

And yes, the event includes a jungle trail, as always – we have to build an appetite before lunch!

Who Price
Member kids FREE
Guest kids RM50
All adults RM70

Registration deadline was Tuesday 2nd December – you’ve missed it! But you can contact us in case of cancellations.

If you have problems registering, please email us.

Run-site: Hash Heritage site, TTDI / Bukit Kiara
– off Changkat Abang Haji Openg, drive in and park neatly
Travel Time: not very long
Date: Sunday 7th December, 2025
Registration: 11am (much earlier than our normal runs!)
Run Starts at: around 12:00 (earlier than usual!)
Hare: Santa
Co-Hares: Elves and Reindeer (helped by Lewie Dekker)

In Waze or Google maps, search for “TTDI the Hash House”, and that takes you to our entrance, on the left just before the road narrows as it goes up the hill. Make sure that you are going via Changkat Abang Haji Openg, not Jalan Abang Haji Openg.

You can also use these Waze or Google Maps links.

Bunnies and presents

The ‘Hash Heritage House’ is 99.9999% complete now (even more than last year), and already has proper toilets with running water (a luxury for hashers!), electricity for the Christmas tree lights, and a nice roof to keep us shaded and dry!

This is very different from a normal Junior Hash event, but it still includes a normal jungle run, as usual, with mud and hills and trees and maybe also monkeys.

There will be a full Christmas lunch for everyone attending (adults and kids).
Drinks (all kinds) will be available for sale – that’s the only extra you need to bring cash for.

And parents should bring a wrapped present (low value, please, just in case it gets squashed) for each of their kids, and quietly put it in Santa’s sack when they arrive. Shhhh!!!

There will be games and entertainment (clown, etc.), and we hope that a special guest will fly in from the North Pole.

The committee and volunteers will try to make it a perfect afternoon for everyone, but it’s up to everyone to decide how to enjoy it – usually the kids run around playing madly while half the parents sit back with a bottle of wine or just snoozing.

On On!
