If you were at June’s run, you may remember a friendly dog that joined the short run. Its owner came looking for it, and got talking to Mr Brown, and the result is that we’re running from his camp-site on September 3rd. How’s that for serendipity?
This is a great campsite at the head of a beautiful valley with farm fields, jungle and plantations, close to Batang Kali.
Check out the camp-site web-site for campsite attractions & facilities – including 3 hotspring-fed swimming pools!
If you have a tent (or know how to get to Decathlon) and would like to camp on the Saturday night, please contact the site owner directly on +60 19 338 4008.
KK (the camp owner) is a Hasher and his two very well-behaved dogs will probably follow us around the run to make sure that we don’t get lost!
After the run, there will be hotdogs and cold drinks, as usual, so please remember to bring some pocket money and a change of clothes.
PLEASE remember to register BEFORE the run, at our registration desk. Members just mark the registration sheet, and guests must fill in kids’ details (plus a phone number) on the guest sheet, and pay the guest fees of RM10 per kid.
ALL KIDS (members and guests) must also sign out AFTER the run, so we know that nobody is lost.
Guest kids just pay RM10 per run, as always.
Directions:
This is a new run site for the Junior Hash, but any big runners who were mad enough to do the KL Full Moon Hash Ball-Breaker run on 6th August will already know it.
There is plenty of parking at the campsite but please be mindful of non-hash campers who may also be using the campsite.
You can take your preferred route towards Ulu Yam Baru (close to Batang Kali), which is approximately 35Km (about an hour) from KL or PJ, depending on your start location.
The route has a few turns through the Kampung so please use Waze or Google Maps – just type in ‘2K Hotspring campsite’ to either App, and it will take you directly to the campsite.
The last part is a good quality single track road, so normal clearance cars will have no problems.
There are 2K campsite signs when you’re close.
