This will be our Halloween run, so bring a costume and expect to be terrified!!!
Run-site: 2K Hotspring Campsite, near Ulu Yam / Batang Kali
Travel Time: a little over an hour
Date: Sunday 2nd November, 2025
Hares: Iskandar-Hill family
Co-Hares: Milliner family, on their final run with us 🙁
Registration: 1:20 onwards
Run Starts at: 2:00 pm
What’s your favourite monster or scary character? A dinosaur, or Wednesday Adams, or a headless hasher?
Or maybe a cannibal who wants to boil people in the enormous hot-spring cooking pots? 😱
If you want to win prizes, please dress up after the run, which is at the ever-popular 2K Hot-Springs Campsite.

Yes, it’s a fully-equipped campsite, and you can call the owner if you want to camp on the Saturday night.
And yes, it has swimming pools fed by hotsprings!
But please tell your kids not to dress up as orangutans and swing on the supports for the parasols, as they’re not as strong as they look!
We will have cold drinks and hot dogs as usual, so bring some cash, and I think I heard someone mention a piñata!
If you have a tent and fancy camping, please book directly with the friendly Mr Chan – follow the 2K Hotspring Campsite link for contact details, or just WhatsApp him on +60 19 338 4008.
For those not camping, there is a fee of RM10 per car – this covers parking and use of the facilities.
Please sign in when you arrive:
- Members please remember to mark the registration sheet.
- Guests fill in kids’ details (plus a phone number) on the guest sheet, and pay the guest fees of RM10 per kid.
and PLEASE remember to sign out when you get back from the trail, so we know that nobody is lost. It’s very tempting to jump into the pool when you get back, and sit there for three hours until you’re cooked like a lobster, but please sign out first!
Directions
These links should take you to the campsite:

Start by taking your preferred route towards Ulu Yam Baru or Batang Kali, which is approximately 35Km (about an hour) from KL or PJ, depending on your start location.
The route has a few turns through the Kampung so please use Waze or Google Maps – just type in ‘2K Hotspring campsite’ to either App, and it will take you directly to the campsite.
The last part is a good quality single track road, so normal clearance cars will have no problems.
There are 2K campsite signs when you’re close.
There is plenty of parking at the campsite but please be mindful of non-hash campers who may also be using the campsite.
